Why work at the INC?

The Institut National du Cancer is a Luxembourg non-profit association, recognized as a public utility, founded on June 25, 2015. INC's mission is to contribute to the effective fight against cancer. We ensure that all cancer patients in Luxembourg have access to a structured and standardized clinical pathway in order to receive appropriate medical care through the revision of patient pathways and referentials, but also through the coordination of national tumour boards (RCP). Currently, the INC is playing a key role in various national initiatives, and in particular in the implementation of Luxembourg's 2nd Plan National Cancer (2020-2026). In addition, our teams are actively involved in European initiatives that complement and reinforce these national efforts.

10 reasons for working at INC

The vocation of INC and its employees is to have a positive impact on the health of Luxembourg society. Our HR policy focuses on the development of our employees and their projects in a family-oriented culture.

1. Flexible working hours and plenty of days off

At INC, employees are free to choose their working hours, although they must be present/connected between 10am and 4pm.

With 32 paid days off a year and flexible working hours, the INC is a pleasant place to work, respectful of its employees so that they can enjoy a good work-life balance.

2. Homeworking available

Depending on their role, employees may work a maximum of one or two days a week from home. The annual limit on homeworking days is defined by their country of residence and the legislation in force.

3. Job autonomy

Within the company, roles are well-defined, but very varied in terms of missions, enabling a person to acquire a great deal of experience, to be autonomous in his or her role and to show initiative in his or her area of expertise.

4. Teamwork

Although roles are clearly distinct, internal collaboration is important and encouraged. We want our internal teams to work together in a healthy, friendly atmosphere, so that we can offer meaningful help to our external partners.

5. Collaboration with the Luxembourg cancer community

In addition to internal collaboration, various national and international projects enable the INC to work with different healthcare stakeholders in Luxembourg and Europe.

The second Plan National Cancer (PNC2 2020-2026) provides an opportunity to work with organizations such as: DiSa, M3S, FHL, Luxembourg hospitals, patient associations, LIH, the University, and many others.

6. Major national and European projects

Working at INC means getting involved in major national and European projects, particularly in connection with the PNC2. INC plays a key role in implementing this plan at national level, which aims to improve cancer prevention, screening and treatment, while promoting research and innovation. INC is also involved in numerous European projects.

By taking part in national and European initiatives, our employees have the opportunity to contribute to ambitious challenges for a future in which the fight against cancer is a top priority. It's also an opportunity to develop your skills in a dynamic and innovative environment, while having a positive impact on society.

7. A recent and rapidly evolving organization

The INC was founded in 2015 under the impulsion of the first Plan National Cancer. In 10 years, the institute has taken part in numerous national and European projects, carried out a large number of Tumour boards, reviewed numerous guidelines and patient pathways, etc. Over the past two years, the organization has doubled its staff. This growth has enabled the INC to provide more effective support for the many initiatives in the field of oncology in Luxembourg.

At INC, the efforts of our employees contribute to the fight against this disease and to improving the health of future generations. Here, every employee is an essential agent of change.
