We are proud to announce Luxembourg's participation in the EUNetCCC and JANE-2 Joint Actions in the fight against cancer, two key European cooperation projects aimed at improving cancer prevention, diagnosis and treatment on a European scale.
The launch meeting of our national consortium marked an important moment in bringing together our Luxembourg institutions [Luxembourg Institute of Health (LIH), Institut National du Cancer (INC), Université du Luxembourg, Centre Hospitalier de Luxembourg (CHL), Hôpitaux Robert Schuman (HRS), Centre Hospitalier Emile Mayrisch (CHEM), Center Hospitalier du Nord (CHdN), Ministère de la Santé et de la Sécurité sociale Luxembourg (M3S/DiSa), Centre François Baclesse (CFB), Centre de Réhabilitation du Château de Colpach (CRCC), Laboratoire national de santé (LNS)] and strengthen our commitment to improving cancer care. Together with our European partners, we are implementing concrete actions to improve patient care and significantly advance research.
The EUNetCCC and JANE-2 initiatives bring together experts, researchers and clinicians from European member states to:
- Make high-quality oncology care accessible to all and limit inequalities;
- Contribute to the integration of new diagnostic and therapeutic approaches, and research in cancer centers;
- Promote the exchange of knowledge and expertise.
These projects demonstrate Luxembourg's commitment to medical research, international collaboration and the transformation of healthcare systems to meet the challenges of cancer.
We look forward to working with our partners to advance the fight against cancer and improve the quality of life of patients in Luxembourg and across Europe.
These projects are co-financed by the European Commission's EU4Health program.
