2024-2026
Topic of the moment
cancerinfo.lu is a project developed within Axis 3 of the National Cancer Plan 2 (PNC2). Its objective is to create, within the National Cancer Institute, a structured, readable and accessible website dedicated to cancer patients and their relatives, providing clear, reliable and useful information throughout the care pathway.
The cancerinfo.lu aims to address a concrete need: facilitating access to high-quality, clear and understandable information about cancer and care pathways in Luxembourg, within a user-friendly digital environment. It also aims to provide practical support to patients and their relatives at key moments, to structure exchanges with healthcare professionals, and to centralize available resources at national level, while fostering a collaborative and evolving approach.
The project is based on a co-construction approach. Information needs were identified through consultative sessions with patients and relatives, ensuring that the development of the platform is grounded in real-life experiences.
Developed within Axis 3 – Patient information and education – of the second National Cancer Plan, this initiative reflects a national collaborative effort involving institutions, healthcare professionals, patients, associations and research actors. The ambition is to create a reference platform that centralizes useful resources, improves user orientation, and strengthens patients’ and relatives’ ability to access and understand information.
